Homebrewers Warehouse began in 1993 when Greg Young's hobby got a little out of hand. The business commenced operations in Keane Street, but is now operating as the warehouse in Whitehouse Street, Townsville.
The continued growth is supported by a healthy wholesale business that supplies other Brewshops throughout North Queensland. Greg has developed new and exciting products to assist brewers in their pursuits. These include the original 'Younga's' Fermenter Keg and Line Cleaner... and North Queensland's and possibly Australia's first 'Home Keg System'. There's also the Diamondback and Canecutter brews... along with Australia's first real Rum Kit... and Foil Hop Packs under Brew can lids. His articles appear monthly in the Express Newspaper. They will also be posted on this site. .. |
Greg also enjoys competing in Brew Competitions and to date, has fared rather well. He says "Competitions are great because you get back the Judging Sheets that can really help you. No one knows it all, and I learn something new every day." Younga reckons "It's great when you really love your work!" | |
